Description

Paco Rabanne, the world found a free-minded visionary with a penchant for flamboyant and revolutionary designs. Originally an architect, the French fashion designer pushed the boundaries of style with his interesting use of plastic, metal and wire, and gradually experimenting with softer fabrics like amaretta and sofrina. Those who are aware of Paco’s origin can find hints of his architectural background in the way some of his perfumes are named, such as ‘Eau de Metal’, ‘Ultraviolet Plastic’ and ‘Chrome’. The first Paco Rabanne perfume launched in 1969 evoked interest with its rich, spicy fragrance of cypress. In the years that followed, leading up to the present day, the designer has continued turning out avant-garde fragrances for the modern consumer.
